Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase, Reservation, and Visiting the Exhibition at the Underground Nowa Huta Branch

  1. The exhibition “State of Emergency” at the Historical Museum of the City of Kraków – Underground Nowa Huta Branch (Kraków, os. Szkolne 37), hereinafter referred to as the Exhibition, is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., subject to items 2 and 4.
  2. The last entry to the Exhibition is no later than 30 minutes before closing time.
  3. The Exhibition can be visited individually (i.e., from 1 to 9 people) or in groups (i.e., from 10 up to a maximum of 25 people).
  4. On Thursdays, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., so-called quiet hours are introduced for visitors with special needs. During quiet hours, group visits and guided tours are not available. All multimedia are turned off or muted, and visitors are required to maintain silence.
  5. Visitors may book a visit via https://bilety.muzeumkrakowa.pl/ and may additionally purchase or reserve a guided tour of the permanent exhibition, subject to the price list specified in Annex No. 2 to the Director’s Order No. 123/2019 of November 26, 2019, regarding admission tickets to permanent exhibitions at the Historical Museum of the City of Kraków. Purchases or reservations must be made at least 4 days prior to the planned visit. Online ticket purchases are governed by the Online Ticket Sales Terms and Conditions, available on the above website, in line with these Terms and Conditions.
  6. The purchase or reservation of a visit including a guided tour must be made at least 4 days before the scheduled date via https://bilety.muzeumkrakowa.pl/.
  7. Visitors purchasing a guided tour for a specific date available in the booking system must arrive at the Museum no later than the scheduled time. The guide will wait up to 15 minutes after the designated start time. If the visitors fail to arrive, the service will not be provided and the Museum will not refund the fee.
  8. The Museum allows the Exhibition to be visited with an external guide.
  9. Individual visitors and organized groups booking a guided tour must notify the Museum if they wish to cancel the service or visit. Notification must be made at least 5 calendar days before the scheduled date by email at info@muzeumkrakowa.pl or in person at the Visitor Service Centre located at Krzysztofory Palace, Kraków, Rynek Główny 1.
  10. In the absence of timely cancellation of a guided tour or visit, the person making the reservation will be charged a contractual penalty of PLN 150.00 by the Historical Museum of the City of Kraków. The penalty must be paid within 14 days from the date of notification to the Museum’s bank account no. 95 1020 2892 0000 5102 0591 0361.
  11. Persons who have received notice of a contractual penalty have the right to appeal within 3 calendar days of receiving the notice. The appeal, with justification, must be submitted in writing to the Historical Museum of the City of Kraków, Kraków, Rynek Główny 35. The final decision on the penalty, after explanatory proceedings, is made by the Museum Director or an authorized representative.
  12. The Museum advises persons whose health condition may pose a risk to other visitors not to attend and reserves the right to deny entry to individuals suspected of being unwell and potentially endangering others (e.g., persistent cough).
  13. Admission to the Underground Nowa Huta Branch requires a ticket valid only on the date of purchase. The ticket prices and sales rules are governed by the Director’s Order No. 123/2019.
  14. When purchasing tickets at the ticket office, the Museum recommends the use of payment cards.
  15. Admission tickets can be purchased at the ticket office located at the branch, at the Nowa Huta Museum Branch, or online at https://bilety.muzeumkrakowa.pl/.
  16. Tickets purchased at the ticket office are non-refundable. Tickets purchased online may be refunded according to the Online Ticket Sales Terms and Conditions available on the website indicated in item 15.
  17. Free admission to the exhibitions at the Underground Nowa Huta Branch is available on Wednesdays.
  18. A ticket purchased for the Exhibition at the Underground Nowa Huta Branch entitles the holder to one-time admission, within 30 days from the date of purchase, to exhibitions at the Nowa Huta Museum Branch (Kraków, Centrum E1) on days when the exhibitions are open.
  19. A ticket purchased for exhibitions at the Nowa Huta Museum Branch entitles the holder to one-time admission, within 30 days from the date of purchase, to the “State of Emergency” exhibition at the Underground Nowa Huta Branch (os. Szkolne 37) on days when the exhibition is open.
  20. It is forbidden to bring into the Exhibition:
a) any weapons, ammunition, or objects deemed potentially dangerous,
b) explosive, flammable, or toxic materials,
c) long umbrellas,
d) backpacks and large luggage exceeding 30 liters,
e) animals, except assistance dogs accompanying persons with disabilities.
21. The Exhibition must be visited in accordance with the designated route and visiting order.
22. After leaving the exhibition area, re-entry is not permitted.
23. Eating, drinking, smoking, vaping, and making phone calls are prohibited inside the Exhibition.
24. Entry is prohibited to individuals who are intoxicated, under the influence of drugs or intoxicants, or behaving in a manner that may endanger the safety of others, objects, or cultural property, disturb the visiting order, or violate generally accepted standards of public behavior.
25. While visiting the Exhibition, visitors must follow the instructions and recommendations of Museum staff and security personnel.
26. Parents or guardians are responsible for any damage caused by children in their care.
27. The Museum reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove visitors who do not comply with the visiting rules or who violate these Terms and Conditions.

29. Purchasing or reserving an admission ticket constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
30. These Terms and Conditions are effective from June 1, 2023.
