Barbican is an exceptional place which lost it’s function over centuries.
EXPECTANCY
steel, sound
Barbican is an exceptional place which lost it’s function over centuries.
At first it was a bastion defending Cracov. Thick walls with multiple holes let to observe the outside.
Now it remains as a memory of impressive fortifications of the city.
We live in permanent uncertainty. People look but are not able to see clearly. Despite having an easy access to various data and news, our point of view is always limited. Each of us has their own
Barbican. We stay there with information that we collected and expect things to come.
Work lets us to feel like a BARBICAN DEFENDANT.
Our instalation encourages to focus, look further and realize that safety is just an illusion as we never know what may come.
