Rules for Visiting Permanent Exhibitions of the Museum of Krakow on Free Admission Days

Rules for Visiting Permanent Exhibitions of the Museum of Krakow on Free Admission Days

§1
1. No Ticket Reservations: Starting from May 1, 2023, there will be no reservation of tickets for free admission days to permanent exhibitions in the branches of the Museum of Krakow, except as described in § 2.

2. Collecting Tickets: Visitors interested in visiting permanent exhibitions on free admission days can collect free admission tickets directly at the ticket offices of the respective branches. On free admission days, the COZ (Visitor Service Center) issues free admission tickets only for the permanent exhibition at the Krzysztofory Palace branch.

3. Ticket Limit: Each visitor can collect a maximum of 5 free admission tickets for a specific permanent exhibition.

4. Visiting Time: The admission tickets indicate the start time of the visit, which visitors must adhere to. The museum reserves the right to cancel free admission tickets if the visitor does not start the visit within 15 minutes of the scheduled time without the museum's fault. Canceled tickets will be returned to the general pool of tickets.

5. Issuing Tickets: Tickets are issued successively in the order of arriving visitors, considering the limits of people who can be on the exhibition. When collecting tickets, visitors can choose a later start time if tickets are available for that time.

6. Daily Limits: Each branch of the museum specifies its daily visitor limits.
Information on Ticket Availability: Once all free admission tickets for the day are issued, the branch's ticket office will place information about it in a visible place.
§2
Reservations for Educational Institutions: The exemption described in § 1.1 does not apply to educational institutions mentioned in § 2.9, which can reserve admission to permanent exhibitions on free admission days through the COZ for their students or wards. They should contact the COZ by email (info@muzeumkrakowa.pl), providing reservation details:

  • Date and preferred start time of the visit,
  • Number of visitors,

  • Official email address of the institution,
  • Optional guide service request – note: paid according to the current price list,
  • Information necessary for issuing an invoice for the guide service – full name of the institution, address, NIP.

2. COZ Contact: COZ will contact the institution regarding reservations only via the institution's official email address.

3. Reservation Confirmation: After making the reservation, COZ will contact the institution by email, providing reservation details, including the start time of the visit, and will send free admission tickets online.

4. Guide Service Reservation: The reservation for the guide service must be made at least 5 days before the free admission date.

5. Guide Service Payment: COZ will provide payment information for the guide service in response to the reservation, which can be paid:

  • By bank transfer to the museum's account, or
  • Directly at the COZ ticket office or the branch ticket office on the day of the visit. The bank transfer should be made at least two business days before the visit. After receiving the payment, COZ will send the institution the free admission tickets and the invoice for the guide service online. If paid at the ticket office, free admission tickets and the invoice will be issued on the day of the visit.

6. Guide Service Cancellation: Any cancellation of the guide service must be made at least 5 days before the visit date by email (info@muzeumkrakowa.pl) with the invoice number. The museum will refund the amount paid for the guide service by bank transfer. If the guide service is canceled late, the payment already made will be forfeited, and if the payment has not been made, the museum will charge the institution a contractual penalty of 150.00 PLN for each uncanceled service.

7. Guide Wait Time: The guide will wait for visitors for 15 minutes from the scheduled start time. If visitors do not arrive within this time, the service will not be performed without the obligation to refund the service cost.

8. Ticket Cancellation: The museum reserves the right to cancel free admission tickets if the visitors from the institution do not start the visit within 15 minutes of the scheduled time without the museum's fault. Canceled tickets will be returned to the general pool of tickets.

10. Verification Right: COZ has the right to request information to confirm that the reserving entity is an educational institution as defined in § 2.9. If such information is not provided or if it is determined that the entity is not an educational institution, COZ has the right to refuse the reservation.
