The Museum of Krakow would like to invite you to the dedicated exhibition “Centenary of Aleksander Krawczuk”, which you can visit from 7 to 30 June in the hall of the Krzysztofory Palace (address: Rynek Główny 35, ground floor).
It is a tribute to an outstanding historian of antiquity, essayist, professor of humanities, academic teacher at Jagiellonian University, Minister of Culture and Art in the years 1986-1989, and member of the Sejm for two terms, who celebrates his 100th birthday on June 7.
The exhibition will present, i.a. photographs from the private collection of Professor Krawczuk, his books, decorations, and personal mementos, such as a statuette of Nike from Samothrace, Athene, an owl (the cherished “mascot”), as well as a typewriter on which he wrote his doctoral dissertation. We will also reveal Professor Krawczuk's recipe for longevity
