Regulations for Visiting Exhibitions at the Museum and the Scouting Movement Center
§1 General Provisions
Exhibitions at the Museum and the Scouting Movement Center, a branch of the Historical Museum of the City of Kraków (Kraków, ul. Forteczna 28), hereinafter referred to as the “Exhibitions,” are open to the public from Wednesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and from Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., subject to sec. 2.The last entry to the Exhibitions takes place 60 minutes before closing time for individual visitors and 75 minutes before closing time for groups.
Visiting the Exhibitions is possible individually (i.e., from 1 to 9 persons) or in groups (i.e., from 10 to 30 persons).
Admission is free of charge on Sundays. On that day, visitors wishing to see a temporary exhibition are required to purchase a ticket for that exhibition at the price set for it.
The Museum reserves the right to close its branches and departments or shorten their opening hours.
§2 Ticket Sales and Reservations
Admission tickets may be purchased at the ticket office located in the Branch, at the Visitor Service Center, or online at https://bilety.muzeumkrakowa.pl/
Tickets purchased online are subject to the rules set out in the Online Ticket Sales Regulations, available on the website indicated in sec. 1, and the provisions of these Regulations.
Failure to make a prior reservation or purchase of admission tickets may result in the inability to enter the Exhibitions.
When purchasing tickets at the ticket office, the Museum recommends the use of payment cards.
Each ticket specifies the date and time of entry.
The Museum publishes ticket prices and information on free admission days on its website: http://muzeumkrakowa.pl/
An admission ticket to the Museum and the Scouting Movement Center entitles its holder, on the day of purchase, to visit temporary exhibitions at the Branch included in the ticket price, provided that the last entry to a temporary exhibition takes place 60 minutes before closing. It is also reserved that the Director of the Museum may decide on separate ticketing for selected temporary exhibitions.
§3 Guided Tours
Visitors may purchase or reserve admission tickets and additionally purchase or reserve a guided tour service of the Exhibition via https://bilety.muzeumkrakowa.pl/. Ticket prices and guide service fees are set by order of the Museum Director.
The Museum allows visitors to tour the Exhibitions with an external guide.
An organized group may consist of up to 30 persons, including chaperones, tour leaders, and guides. The tour lasts approximately 75 minutes.
Purchase or reservation of a guided tour must be made at least 4 (four) days prior to the scheduled visit, via https://bilety.muzeumkrakowa.pl/
Visitors purchase the guide service for a selected date available in the reservation system.
On the day of the tour, visitors who have reserved or purchased the guide service must arrive at the Branch no later than the scheduled start time. The guide will wait for visitors for 15 minutes after the scheduled time; if the visitors fail to appear within this period, the service will not be provided and the Museum will not be obliged to refund the cost.
Individual visitors and groups who have booked a guided tour, in the event of cancellation, must notify the Museum, subject to sec. 8. Notification must be made by email to: info@muzeumkrakowa.pl
If notification of cancellation of a guided tour is made less than 4 (four) days before the scheduled date, the Museum considers such cancellation late and imposes a contractual penalty.
In the case of failure to provide timely notice of cancellation of the guide service or the tour, the persons making the reservation will be charged a contractual penalty of PLN 200.00 by the Historical Museum of the City of Kraków. The penalty must be paid within 14 days from the date of notification to the following account number: 95 1020 2892 0000 5102 0591 0361.
Persons who have been notified of the penalty have the right to appeal within 3 days of receiving the information. Appeals with justification should be sent by email to: info@muzeumkrakowa.pl or in writing to the Historical Museum of the City of Kraków, Kraków, Rynek Główny 35. The final decision regarding the penalty, after the explanatory procedure, is made by the Director of the Museum or persons authorized by him.
§4 Refunds
Tickets purchased at the ticket office are non-refundable. Tickets purchased online are refundable according to the rules set out in the Online Ticket Sales Regulations available on the website indicated in §2 sec. 1.
§5 Rules for Visitors at the Exhibition
It is forbidden to bring into the Exhibitions:
a. any weapons, ammunition, or objects deemed potentially dangerous,
b. explosive, flammable, or toxic materials,
c. long umbrellas,
d. backpacks and large luggage with a capacity of over 30 liters,
e. animals, except assistance dogs accompanying persons with disabilities.
Exhibitions must be visited in accordance with the designated route and order.
After completing the tour and leaving the exhibition space, re-entry is not permitted.
In the Branch, except in designated areas, it is forbidden to consume food or drinks, smoke tobacco or electronic cigarettes, make phone calls, or take photographs using a flash. Photo sessions and photographs for commercial purposes require permission from the Museum.
Persons under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, intoxicants, or behaving in a manner that could endanger the safety of others, of objects, or of cultural assets, disturb the order of visiting, or violate generally accepted standards of behavior in public places are not permitted entry.
While on the exhibition premises, visitors must comply with the instructions and recommendations of Museum staff and security.
Parents or guardians are responsible for any damage caused by children in their care.
The Museum reserves the right to refuse admission or expel individual tourists or groups who fail to comply with the visiting rules or violate these Regulations.
§6 Final Provisions

The purchase or reservation of an admission ticket is equivalent to acceptance of these Regulations.
These Regulations enter into force on July 1, 2025.
