Museum without barriers
The exhibition Krakow under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945 at the Schindler's Factory branch is accessible to visually impaired and hearing impaired audiences. It is the first undertaking of this kind in the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow, prepared in partnership with the Culture Without Barriers Foundation and the Foundation for Children “Help on Time”, as part of the project Museum Beyond Silence and Darkness, co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
For hearing impaired audiences, we have prepared video translations (into sign language) and subtitles for selected multimedia presentations and films, as well as a guide to the sounds of the exhibition, which form its integral part, and without which its reception is incomplete.
